She was preceded in death by four brothers, Godfried, Herman, Norval and Glenster; and four sisters, Odessa Libbey, Wanda O'Brien, Hermina Moore and Flora Cooley. The couple made their home at the family ranch north of Harrison. Three of their children, Robert, Joe and Mary, were born while the couple lived there. Marjorie and John were born after they moved to Harrison. Survivors include his wife Arline; children Joe, Mary (Willnerd), Marjorie (Abbott) and John; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He later moved to Billings and in January of 1982 married Helen ISZLER. Mr. Schaefer was preceded in death by his wives, Florence and Helen; a brother, Theodore; and a sister, Eva Fehrer. Second of the eight children of Samuel and Mary Schneider Schafer. He taught school and was so a Lutheran minister in Bruntal (Brunnental), Russia. He sent his two oldest sons, Solomon, age 17, and Samuel, age 16, to the United States to avoid Russia;s forced military conscription. Ben's father, Samuel, arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1889 and by 1900 was homesteading in Ellis County, Oklahoma, where he met and married Mary SCHNEIDER. On July 16, 1927, Ben and Etna TRUEBLOOD were married in Lipscomb County. Interement was at Monticello City Cemetery. Ben was preceeded in death by his parents; two brothers, Willie and Robert; and a sister, Millie. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Stuman was the first daughter and the fifth child to Mary Louise Schneider Schafer and Samuel Schafer. Her father was one of the Volga Germans who came from Breunnental, Russia, in 1891. He met and married his wife in Kansas and settled in the Texas Panhandle, where they had eight children. She met and married Patrick Stuman in 1935 at Canadian. Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Frank Schwindt, and her three exceptional children, Kathy, Mike and Rickey. Margaret was blessed to have eight incredible grandchildren: Colleen Howell, Gregory Kelly, Larry Kelly Jr., Shannon Danks, Tara Dimico, Jeff Zent, George Zent and Jimmy Zent; 13 darling great-grandchildren: Henry Howell, Katherine Howell Blaine, Michael Howell, Kayletta Olbricht, Emmaletta Kelly and Toshiko Kelly, Steven Kelly, Anngelica, Devan and Geno Dimico, Trent and Camille Zent, and Naomi Zent; one beautiful great-great-granddaughter, Tiffanielizabeth Olbricht-Howell. Margaret was married in Laurel, Mont., to Mike Zent in 1941. Their union produced Kathy and Mike. Her heart was captured by little Rickie Lee, whom she and Mike adopted when he was 2 years old. She nurtured tiny 10-day-old Bernadine Wells until Bernadine was married 22 years later. Six-year-old Agnes Breen Wagner and her sister Kathleen joined the Zent family in 1959. Agnes went on to graduate from high school and get married during her life in the wonderful Zent home. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Her husband died at Rocky Ford and sometime later she married Henry KARST, also a widower. Mr. Karst also passed away on December 2, 1933. There were two daughters by her first marriage and three sons by the second marriage. She was also the mother to five stepdaughters along with her own chldren. On January 3, 1940, she was again united in marriage to Peter BOXBERGER at Russell. Mr. Boxberger also preceded her in death in October 1952. Meta is survived by her sister, Lillie (and Buck) Reamy; a son, Jerry; daughters Donna (and Jim) Cheff and Vonnie Erickson; grandchildren Sophia, Owen, Tyler, Garrett, Cody (and Jessica) and Matt (and Pam); and great-grandchildren Steph and Gabby. Meta was born Sept. 2, 1925, at home to German immigrants, Ernest and Anna Scheuneman in the Bridger-Belfry area. On the family sugar beet farm two miles north of Bridger, Meta and her siblings Paul, Henry, Lillie and Freddie learned to value hard work, determination and thriftiness. Meta married Arnold MEINHARDT, another first-generation American, in Bridger on Nov. 16, 1946. Children Steven, Jerry, Donna and Vonnie were born as Arnold and Meta traveled about Montana. She lost Arnold in 1983. Mom also loved fishing with her partner, Robert Markel.

He was the third of four children born to Ed and Helen Schillinger at the Vida homestead. On May 22, 1947, he committed to his partner for life, Anna Lucille MAYES. Seven children joined the Vida household: Kathleen, Joyce, Elaine, Jerry, Annette, LaVern and Leanne. Preceding him in death were Kenneth and Anna's firstborn child, Mary Ann; as well as his parents, Ed and Helen Schillinger; and his siblings, Walter Schillinger and Lucille Loendorf. Kenneth leaves behind many family and friends who will remember always their many wonderful memories. Anna, his partner of nearly 60 years, remains at the family home in Circle. His younger sister, Evelyn (Harvey) Neufeld lives Lewiston, Idaho. Children, Kathleen and Jim McGowan; Joyce Schillinger; and Elaine and Perry Eidum reside in Helena. Jerry and Carol Schillinger are in Circle and Annette and Scott Pierce are in Missoula. LaVern and Anne Schillinger live in Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Leanne Schillinger and fiancé Dave Stewart reside near Carter. Grandchildren who fondly called him "Papa" are Erin, Brian and Kelly McGowan, Charlie Amundson and Margaret Kecskes, Parker and Fletcher Eidum, Brett, Alex and Paul Schillinger, Kennedy and Cassidy Pierce, and Kate, Will and Maggie Schillinger. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and a lifetime of friends will miss him dearly. Interment will be held at the Vida Cemetery.

They were divorced after 24 years of marriage. They were blessed with four children, twins Larry Dean and Lori Dawn, Edward Scott and Michael George. Darlyne is survived by her children, twins Larry of Spokane and Lori of Fromberg, Edward and grandson Alex of Valleyford, Wash., and Michael (Ardis) and grandchildren Dillon and Shannon of Livingston; sister Doris (Vic) Redinger of Billings and several nieces and nephews. She was the only child of the late Jacob and Hannah (Ehrlich) Schlotthauer of rural Marion. Her mother died when Hannah was an infant, 11 days old, and she was raised by her grandparents. She married Harvey Kruse on May 28, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Harvey Kruse, who died March 22, 1989. Survivors include their son, Dwight and his wife Jerrie Kruse of rural Marion; their grandson Alan and his wife Melissa Kruse, rural Marion, and their children Lexie and Trevor; granddaughter Pamela Kruse of Emporia and grandson Jason Kruse, rural Marion; daughter Patricia and her husband Lowell Socolofsky of Bellevue, Neb.; and their children, Doug and Gina Wamble, Paul and Jonathan, Colorado Springs, Colo.; James and Rita Pray, Michael, Jennifer, and Jessica, Des Moines, Iowa, David and Nancy Socolofsky and Hannah, Humble, Texas, and John and Jennifer Socolofsky, Zachary, April, and Luke of Mendham, N.J. Jason Kruse read Psalm 46. Special music was a solo by Doug Wamble, "Until Then," and "When We See Christ" by David, John, and Lowell Socolofsky. Played was a tape, entitled "Blessed Lights of Home" by Harvey Kruse and Irene Richmond Suderman. Pallbearers were Alan Kruse, Jason Kruse, David Socolofky, John Socolofsky, Jon Thole, and Richard Meisinger.

She married Harvey Kruse, May 28, 1933. Hannah and Harvey lived in the Strassburg Community for most of their 55 years of marriage. Hannah was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harvey KRUSE, on Mar. 22, 1989. Dennis Seifert sang "Abide With Me," and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", with Mrs. Johan Seifert as organist. Casket bearers were Dan, Herman, and Milton Schlotthauer, Paul Vogel, Sam Thole, and J.C. Ehrlich. Interment was in Strassburg Cem. Son of Georg Henry and Barbara Schlotthauer. On March 15, 1906, Mr. Schlotthauer was united in marriage with Hannah EHRLICH. This union was blessed with one daughter, Hannah Mabel. Just 11 days after the birth of the baby, tragedy struck the new home. Death claimed the wife and mother, leaving Mr. Schlotthauer with his daughter. He remained a widower for 63 years. His two grandchildren, Patricia and Dwight Kruse, and his four gt. grandchildren, brought much joy into his life. He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Mrs. Hannah Kruse and her husband, Harvey; two grandchildren, Patricia Socolofsky and her husband, Lowell, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany; Dwight Kruse and his wife, Jerrie, Marion; four gt. grandchildren, Gina, Rita, David and John Socolofsky; one sister, Mrs. Katie Vogel, Marion; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Carrie Schlotthauer and Mrs. Lena Ehrlich, both of Marion.

Mr. Schlotthauer was born to Chris and Anna Propp Schlotthauer on November 7, 1889, on a farm northwest of Marion. In the year 1912, he was united in marriage to Jane EHRLICH. To this union, one daughter, Nila, was born. He was took great pride in his two grandsons, Charles and Richard, whom he loved dearly. His wife, Jane, passed away in March 1940. On December 21, 1946 he was united in marriage to Anna PROPP. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Anna, his daughter, Nila, one son-in-law, Menno Meisinger; two grandsons, Charles and Richard Meisinger; also three stepchildren, Leland Propp, Auburn, California, Roy Propp of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mildred Whitlock, of Valley Center; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Johnston, Marion, Mrs. Anna Batt, Florence, and Mrs. Mary Hett, Marion, three brothers; Herman Schlotthauer and Elmer Schlotthauer, both of Marion, and Aaron Schlotthauer, of Howell, Michigan, two sister-in-law, Hannah and Annie Schlotthauer, also nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
