She was born April 24, 1922, in Trego County, the daughter of John Jacob and Elizabeth Fabricius Fabrizius. On March 15, 1942, she married Christian "Chris" FUNK at San Luis Obispo, Calif. He died Aug. 16, 1990. Survivors include: a son, Jim, WaKeeney; two daughters, Susie Funk Reager, Sterling, Colo., and Mary Jane Funk Oakden, Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Rachel Durr, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Herbert, Harold and infant Adam Fabrizius; and four sisters, Bertha Fahrenbruch, Freida Dietz, Marie Fabrizius and Clara Blehm. In 1849, Mr. Falkenstein was brought by his father, C. A. Falkenstein to a ranch in Texas where he lived until fifteen years of age. On August 13, 1896 he was married to Miss Carrie M. DAVID. Parents were Ludwig and Louise (Kuldon) Fechner. In 1907, the family immigrated to Goodwin, Oklahoma. On March 5, 1920, he married Goldie Veda KREHBIEL at Arnett. Mrs. Fechner preceded him in death on Jan. 17, 1985. Other than his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, three sisters and four other siblings who died in Russia. He is survived by four sons, Eugene, Dean Fechner and his wife, Elresia, J. C. and his wife, Eunice, and Bud Fechner and his wife, Lillie; five daughters, Charlotte Ehrlich and her husband, Ralph, DeLores Moore and her husband, Norman, Wanda Melzer and her husband, Norman, Veda Mae Ehrlich and her husband, Leo, and Elizabeth Misemer. Children present at the sale of the Fechner Farm were Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Fechner of Bethany, John Fechner, Jr., and his friend, Pat Snow of Cushing, Dean Fechner and Wanda Melzer, Eugene Fechner, Pat and Dave Haney, Delores and Norman Moore, Veda and Leo Ehrlich, Ralph and Charlotte Ehrlich, Randy Ehrlich. FECHNER FAMILY ENJOYS 1ST 'FECHNER FAMILY GERMAN FEST'
Saturday, May 24, the family of Robert and Veda Fechner, came together for the first ever
"Fechner Family German Fest." It took place in Piedmont, at the Piedmont Church of the Nazarene. Forty-two descendents gathered to celebrate their German Heritage and pass on the secrets of preparing their favorite dishes that came over to America from Russia in 1907. John Fechner, Jr., with the help of Shawn Fechner and Mike Melzer, made Homemade Sausage; Delores Moore made Pork Struddle; Wanda Melzer make Cole Clebas; Eunice Fechner made Bierox and Noodle Soup with Butterballs; Charlotte Ehrlich made Apricot Kuka and Tifita and Cleba and together with Dova Smith made Case Noodle; Elizabeth Misener also made Tifita and Cleba; Gaylene Hill made Beef Struddles; Cathy Patton made Bierox and Karen Parish made Ham Struddle. The celebration of family and heritage not only included outstanding food, but much laughter and good fellowship. Plans are being made for the 2nd one next year. Survivors include her husband, Leo, and dog, Madi, of the home; four daughters and two sons, Nancy Summer of Granbury, Tex.; son, LaDran Ehrlich of Winfield, Kan.,; Brenda Jo Haines of Phoenix, AZ; son, Troy Ehrlich of Fort Riley, Kan.; LaDenna Pierce of Kansas City, Kan.; and Tammy Ehrlich of Osawatomie, Kan.; four grandsons, four grand-daughters. He is survived by his wife, Violet Fischer of Lodi, sons Keith and wife Diane Fischer of Sunnyvale; Kent and wife Marjorie Fischer of San Jose; Bruce and wife Janet Fischer of Newark; grandchildren Mark, Jennith, David and Suzanne Fischer; sisters Ruth Delk of Lodi and Ruby Stanford of Portland, Ore. He was born July 27, 1908, at Hillsboro, the son of Andress and Julie Nick Foth. On Nov. 27, 1932, he married Tena Lee DAHLKE at Aurora, Neb. She died in 1997. Survivors include: a son, Kenneth P. Sr., Broken Bow, Okla.; two daughters, Sylvia J. Kornelsen and Faith Kornelsen, both of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Ebenfeld Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ed, of Minatare, her son Steve and his wife Jane Schlager of Minatare, her daughter Cindy Weinmaster of Scottsbluff, grandchildren Jennifer and Adam Yost of Colorado Springs, Colo., Chad and Trista Weinmaster of Jackson, Wisc., and Kristi Schlager of Overland Park, Kan., great grandson Braden Weinmaster of Jackson, WI and an unborn great granddaughter of Colorado Springs, Colo. She is also survived by brothers Don Fox, and Albert and his wife Dorothe Fox, all of Scottsbluff. Her parents, son Randy, son-in-law Delbert Weinmaster and sister-in-law Bev Fox preceded her in death.

She is survived by daughters, Sandra Ingraham Wade and husband, Ben Wade, Debra Anderson Rotan and husband, Brett Rotan (both of Dallas) and son, Farren Alan Ingraham of Las Cruces, N.M. and seven special grandchildren, Chad Storrusten, Major Shawn Franklin, Brian Franklin, Chantel Grey, Ashley and Cody Southworth, and Ridge Rotan; sisters, Lorraine Ronan of Billings and Shirley Carmony also of Billings and brother, William Fox, Jr. and wife, Ann of Park City; five great-grandchildren, and too many nieces and nephews to mention but who were all loved by her.
