Mrs. David S. Dumler Dies Hours After Spouse
Mrs. Dumler, the former Carrie Strecker, moved to Russell Coounty with her parents
while an infant. She and her husband were married Feb. 25, 1913. Survivors are
a daughter, Mrs. Carl Dietz, Otis; two sons, Paul and Carl, both of Russell;
two brothers, Alex and Ed Strecker, both of Russell; four sisters: Mrs. George
Reed, Ponca City, Oklahma, Mrs. Emanuel Tittel and Mrs. David Bay, Russell,

was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Elizabeth, who died on July 1,
1975; two sons, Raymond and Elroy; four brothers: Jacob, David S., Emanuel,
and Alex Dumler; two sisters: Christina Reissig and Katie Maier. Survivors include

Obituary
All of his family was with him or near him during his illness except one sister
who never came to this country. He came to America in 1891. He was married in
the old country in 1877 to Miss Mary BECK (Error, he was married to Katherine
Elizabeth BECK), who survives him. They had seven children, all of whom are
living. They are, Jacob, David, George, Emanuel, Alexander, Mrs. Christina Reisig
and Katy. He has three brothers - Michael Dumler and David Dumler, Sr., and
Frederick Dumler, Sr., all of whom live here. There is one sister in the old
country.

(Herdt) Dumler of Russell, Kansas. She married John C. "Cal" MORGENSTERN
on February 13, 1949. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1979.. Also preceding
her in death was her parents, a brother, Donald Dumler, and sister Lillian Odum.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Randy of Lucas;
a brother, Glenn Dumler of Russell; and a grandchild. Burial will be in St.
John Lutheran Cemetery.

with her parents to the United States. On December 28, 1900, she married Gottfried
PEIL. They had six children: twin daughters, Mrs. Adam (Pauline) Mai, Russell,
and Mrs. Henry (Lydia) Ruppel, Herington; Mrs. Gottfried (Amelia) Meier, Herington;
Mrs. Henry (Isabel) Galliart, Dorrance, and August Peil, Sacramento, Calif.
A son, Edwqard, died in infancy. In February of 1935, Mr. Peil died. In August
1937, she was married to Andrew GALLIART, a widower with six children: Mrs.
Emma Brack, Dorrance; Mrs. Elma Keil, Russell; Andrew and Ernest Gilliart, Beaver;
Albert of Russell; and William of Great Bend. Mr. Gilliart died in May 1956.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Henry and Kurt; and three
sisters, Ruth Dirks, Bertha Riffel and Helen Wedel. Graveside service will be
at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Haven of Rest Cemetery, Hillsboro.

He was born Aug. 19, 1918, at Hillsboro, the son of Peter H. and Elizabeth (Friesen)
Dyck. He married Edna Mae WEDEL on April 2, 1941, at Elm Springs Bible Hall.
Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2002, at the Hillsboro
Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.

He was born June 8, 1911, at Olmitz, the son of Phillip and Grace Pascoe Dyer.
He married Selma Marie WILHELM in Dec. 1939 at Larned. She died in 1960. He
married Ethel Marie MORRISON August 19, 1965, at Great Bend. Survivors include
his wife of the home; two sons, Robert of Wichita and Kenneth of Albert; and
five grandchildren. Burial in the Great Bend Cemetery.
