The Rev. Dan and Edna Dalke, Inman, are observing their 60th wedding anniversary
with a trip to visit family and friends in Ebenezer Mennonite Church, Bluffton,
Ohio. Dalke and Edna Elizabeth Franz were married Jan. 22, 1943, in Menno Mennonite
Church, Ritzville, Wash. He served as pastor of the Ebenezer Church from 1961
to 1979. He is chaplain at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She is a homemaker. The
couple have seven children, 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Aurora, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by four sisters, Marcella Zimmerman, Adeline Zimmerman, Eleanor King,
and Josephine Legleiter; and an infant sister, Bertha Dechant.

Myna Sue, two great-grandsons, and all his siblings, Orville, LaVerne, Dwight,
Dwayne, Twila Decker, and Inez Huxman. His survivors include: his daughter,
Marjorie Chambers and husband, James, of Katy, Texas; two sons, Nolan Decker

He enlisted in the Army and then the Army Air Corps, where he was a flight instructor
during World War II. He joined the Air Force Reserve in 1948, retiring in 1978
with the rank of lieutenant colonel. He married Corkie HENDERSON on July 28,
1943, in Long Beach, Calif.; she died Nov. 21, 2001. Survivors include a daughter,
Polly Mahoney, Spring Hill, and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death
by his brothers, Alvin and John, and his sisters, Hannah Nichols, Rachael Claussen
and Elsa Steinert. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fort Riley.

Son or Philip and Elizabeth Deines. In February, 1891, he was united in marriage
to Anna BEISEL who preceded him in death in Feb. 1920. Twelve children were
born to Mr. and Mrs. Deines. Four of the children died in infancy and the oldest
daughter died in 1947. In 1899 they emigrated to Mexico and the following year
came to Kansas and lived at Woodbine. For the past 25 years he has made his
home with his son, Harry Deines, and Mrs. Deines. He leaves to mourn his departure,
two sons, Henry of Chapman, and Ernest of Enterprise; five daughters, Mrs. Chris
Heidelbach of Tracy, Calif., Mrs. William Alt of Kansas City, Mrs. Jesse Riffel
of Enterprise, Mrs. Emma Pigorsch and Mrs. Paul Wendlandt, both of Herington;
one brother, Adolph Deines of Emporia; one sister, Mrs. W. M. Mohn of Ramona;

Rosetta Kay Deines (Hauf), was born in Billings, November 23, 1942 to Harry
and Rose Deines. Rosetta had a close friend, Rita Schraeder, who was always
there for her. Rosetta is survived by her son, Doug Hauf of Sheridan, Wyo.;
her mother, Rose Deines of Laurel; a sister, Donna Leuthold of Billings, nephews,
Jeff (Ingeri) Leuthold and Rick (Cindy) Leuthold and their children; Rosetta's
godmother and husband, Irene and Norm Shorb. Rosetta was preceded in death by

River in Russia near the village of Denhoff. His sister Mary was buried at sea
on the way to America. Brothers Phillip, Alex, Rueben and sisters Mollie and
Leona all died in America. He married Velma JONES on March 2, 1947, at her parents
home in Loveland. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Vic is
survived by his wife, Velma of Loveland; sons, Terry and wife Marsha of Loveland,
Gary and fiancée Debbie of Boulder, Dan and wife Debbie of Loveland,

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Dick. In the year 1873 she was united in marriage
to Gottfried SOCOLOFSKY and this union was blessed with nine children, all of
whom are living. They are: G. G. Socolofsky, Tampa, Kansas; E. W. Socolofsky,
Bessie, Okla.; Mrs. J. F. Major, Dorrance, Kansas; Mrs. Heny Kleiber, Ramona;
Jacob Socolofsky, Ramona; Jacob Socolofsky, Ramona; Dan Socolofsky, Hamburg,
Iowa; A. L. Socolofsky, Marion; Ben Socolofsky, El Camp; Texas; Wm. Socolofsky,
Hamburg, Iowa. Besides the above named children, she is survived by 32 grandchildren;
3 great grandchildren, 1 half sister, Mrs. Gottfried Schick of Tampa and one
step sister, Mrs. Frederick Dick of Bessie, Okla., and a host of other relatives
and friends. During the year 1876 she and her husband, being dissatisfied with
conditions in Russia, emigrated to Americas with two small children, arriving
in Peabody, Kansas, on July 4th of that year. For a number of years they lived
in the vicinity of Lehigh and Marion and finally settled on their farm near
Tampa. They lived there until 1918 when they retired and moved to Tampa where
they resided until 1931, at the time of the passing of Mr. Socolofsky. She then
made her home with her daughters, Mrs. Henry Kleiber and Mrs. Major. She had
the special privilege of blessed marriage union of 59 years. Their golden wedding
anniversary was celebrated in 1923, at which all their children were present.
Interment in Highland cemetery, Marion.

In the year 1863 she was married to J. Jeremias HEINITZ. This union was blessed
with 11 children, 5 of whom preceded their mother into eternity. The survivors
mourning the loss of a dearly loved wife and mother are the aged husband, J.
J. Heinitz and the following children: Alexander of Duluth, Minnesota, Reinhart
of Tripoli, Wis.; Jacob of Lodi, Calif.; George and Gottfried of Mountain Lake;
and Anna, the wife of Reinhart Steinly, of Mt. Lake. In April 1893 Grandma Heinitz
together with the rest of the family left the old country and arrived at Mountain
Lake on the 27th of July.

Born to Benjamin and Leah (Dietz) Dietz. He married Elda I MATTHESON May 19,
1956 in Malcolm, NE. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Gary,
WaKeeney; and Randy, Ellis; a daughter, Verla McGinnis, Ransom; his mother,
WaKeeney; a brother, Jerry Dietz, Hays; and four grandchildren. Burial in the

Mrs. Soloman (Wilhelmine) Dietz died Dec. 15, (1981) at Great Bend. Born Oct.
24, 1902, in Barton County. She married Soloman Dietz April 22, 1923, in Milberger.
Survivors include the widower: three sons, Emil, Otis, Robert, and Walter; two
daughters, Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Bortz and Mrs. Wayne (Dorothy) Johnson: two brothers,
Julius Dietz, Topeka, and Toby Dietz, Ness City; one sister, Mrs. Matilda Jones,

in marriage to Edna Marie DEINES at the Trinity Bender Hill Lutheran Church
and to this union were born two children, Diana and Daryl. Those who survive
to treasure and remember his many acts of love and kindness are his devoted
wife, Edna of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Johnny (Diana) Edgmon of Orlando,
FL; one son, Daryl of rural Russell; four brothers: Henry L., Jacob, and Ferdinand

Son of Jake and Mary (Seibel) Dietz. In 1965, he married Janice SHAFER. They
were the parents of three children and, later, divorced. He married Sheila (HALL)
MYLET in 1984. Survivors include three sisters, Caroline Irving of Columbia,
Iowa, Helen Steeley of Douglas and Ann Kern of Laramie; two brothers, Leonard
Dietz of Centennial and Arnie Dietz of Sterling, Colo.; three children, Derrick
Dietz, Diane Martin and Darcy Wood, all of Casper; two stepdaughters, Monnie
Mylet of Torrington and Samantha Mylet of Cheyenne; five grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren; his dog, Buddy; and many close "coffee" buddies.

Daughter of Henry and Anna (Blurne) Dillman. On Aug. 31, 1946, at the family
home in Gering, Neb., she married Clarence W. Hoffman. They were married for
39 years when he preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Gary Hoffman
and his wife; a sister, Frieda Busch and her husband; a brother, Pete Dillman;
a granddaughter and grandson; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, three sisters and an infant
daughter.

Mrs. Hohnstein was married to John H. HOHNSTEIN in Russia on December 29, 1893.
They came to Scottsbluff in 1910. Surviving are her husband and eight children,
Mrs. Katie Grasmick, Mrs. Anna George, Mrs. Christine Ames, and Henry, John,
and George Hohnstein, all of Lodi, California; Mrs. Margaret Schnell of Vale,
South Dakota, and Ezra, with the Army Air Corps at Lincoln, Nebraska.
