Donovan E. SMUCKER Jan. 21, 1939. He preceded her in death Dec. 13, 2001.
She was a member of First Mennonite Church in Bluffton. She was a children's
author and published 14 books, most of which are still in print. Her books have
been translated into seven languages, and she has received numerous awards all
over the world. Most of her books were historical fiction and were published
in Canada while her late husband was a professor at Conrad Grable College in
Waterloo, Ontario. She met her husband while interviewing him for the Evening
Kansas Republican in Newton. Survivors include: two sons, Timothy Smucker of
Atlanta, Ga., and Thomas Smucker of New York City; a daughter, Rebecca Smucker-Blick
of Douglas, Mich.; three brothers, Lander Claassen of Florida, Walter Claassen
of Newton and Morris Claassen of Great Bend; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Bluffton Memorial Cemetery.

was born on April 28, 1872 in the colony of "Nischnoi"(Nishnaja-Dobrinka),
Russia, in the home of her parents , Georg Heinrich Clauser and Maria Katharina,
nee Wolf. On January 28, 1894, she married the now grief-stricken husband,
Georg H. GRAF.. In spite of the fact that this marriage did not produce children,
the deceased received much comfort and joy by raising her adopted daughter,
Lydia, nee Metzler. The pair came to America and first lived at Fort Collins,
Colorado. As well as while a schoolteacher in Russia, and also here in America
during his 14 years as Pastor, Pastor Graf discovered in his wife a loyal,
untiring helper in the true sense of the word. Her survivors include her husband;
the daughter, Lydia: one brother in Russia, a sister in Sheboygan, Wisconsin
and a sister here, in Portland, Oregon.

One child preceded the mother in death. The Graff family left the old home
in the year 1905, came to CANADA and from there to the United States in 1923
to Portland, Oregon to their new home. She is mourned by her husband, her

youngest of four. Her brother, Charles, died as the result of an accident on
one of the farm horses. Her mother died when Edith was 13, leaving her father
and sister, Edna, to raise her. When she was 16, her father died from an accident
involving the same horse that injured her brother. In 1922, Edna married Oscar
Peterson. She married William (Bill) SCHMIDT on Feb. 14, 1925. In 1975, the
couple were married for 50 years. After Bill died in 1983. Survivors are two
sons, Forrest and wife Jeanne of Fort Lupton, and Ray and wife Helen of Arizona;
six grandchildren, Sharon, Charlotte, Kit, Scot, Terri and Robin. Interment

Born to Ronald "Gene" and Dora (Michaelis) Craig of Hays, Kansas.
On August 31, 1990 she was united in marriage to Jack C. KLEMM. They became
parents of Danielle Marie on May 27, 1995. Survivors include her husband, Jack
C. Klemm, daughter, Marie Klemm, both of Tracy her father Gene Craig of Hays,
Kansas five brothers and sisters Phillip J. (Sherri) of Rockledge Florida, C.
(John) Steeples of Palco, Kansas, Douglas J. (Debra) of Austin, Texas, Barbara
J. (Todd) Coffey of Baldwin City Kansas, Ward D. (Crystal) Craig of Russell,
Kansas. Also many nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Her mother, Dora Marie
Craig and a brother, Daniel V. Craig, both preceded her in death.

Las Vegas and had been married for 21 years. Survivors are his wife, Barbara;
two daughters, Nicole Crespin of Mentor and Melissa and husband Bill Tweedy
of Greeley; three sons, Steven Crespin of Mentor, Scott Jones of Greeley and
Michael Jones of California; two sisters, Mary Crespin and Sylvia Esquivel,
both of Gilcrest; five brothers, Manuel and Donnie, both of Johnstown, Richard
and Larry, both of Greeley, and Paul of Las Vegas, Nev.; and four grandchildren.
His parents are deceased. His ashes will be spread in the mountains along with
the ashes of his mother, Lucy Crespin, who died June 22, 2004. .
