Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Aab of Windsor, Colo., celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary
on October 6, 1964. The couple was married Oct. 6, 1904, in Denhof, Russia.
They came to America in 1907 and settled in Windsor. Members of the family and

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Todd, of Overland Park, nieces Jane Schlager
of Scottsbluff, Mary Ann Margheim of Virginia, nephews John Harvey Reichert
of Minatare, and Ron Reichert. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister
Mollie Reichert, and beloved husband, Bill. NOTE: John and Katherine Nuss Abel

daughter Joyce Elaine Schneider and son Harold Duane Schneider. She was later
united in marriage to Arthur Robert KUGLER, JR. on Aug. 20, 1950. Survivors
include her daughter, Joyce Elaine Schneider of Centennial, Colo.; son, Harold
Duane Schneider of Lakewood, Colo.; granddaughters, Rori Lea Christenson, Kari
Dillon, Karmen Jacobs and her husband Bruce; great-granddaughters, Mallory and

Abel of Gering, her sisters Emma Hass of Glendive, Mont., and Lydia Tripple

Minatare--A funeral for Mollie Reichert, 72, of rural Minatare, who died
29 Aug 1986, in the Scottsbluff hospital, will be at 10 Tuesday in the Zion
Evangelical Church at Scottsbluff with the Rev. Clarence Schultz officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Scottsbluff. She was born 12 Feb 1914
at Winnipeg, Canada, to John and Katherine (Nuss) Abel. She moved with her family
in 1915. She married David R. REICHERT on 28 Jan 1934 at Scottsbluff. Survivors
include her sons Ron of Sidney and John of Minatare; daughters Mary Ann Margheim
of Dumfries VA, and Helen Schlager of Minatare; sister Ann Todd of Mitchell.

She was born Molly Alwilda Adam on Jan. 11, 1926, the fifth child and only daughter
of Emil (Tib) Adam and Helen Goddard Adam. She met and married John Berger in
Missoula, and produced three boys Stephen, Carl and Christopher
in the span of three years. The family moved to Detroit in 1951, close to where
John's family was. Molly and John were divorced in the mid 50s, and Molly married
Ron SCHUMAN in 1962. The new family then moved back to Montana and two daughters
Nancy and Mary were born in Billings. Molly used her nursing skills
to care for her father until his death in 1965. Molly was preceded in death
by her parents; both husbands; and two brothers, Richard and William Adam. She
is survived by her other two brothers, Emil and Louis (Betty) Adam; her children,
Steve of Littleton, Colo., Carl (Robin) of Billings, and Christopher Berger
(Sarah) of Bothell, Wash., Nancy Peterson (Kevin) of Hillsboro, Ore., and Mary
Flinn (Carl) of Billings; 14 grandchildren Joshua, Sarah, Peter (Jessica
Rossman), Erin and Brittany Berger, Darby (John) Kaikkonen, Heather (Greg) Harris,
Adam and Katie Peterson, Ashley (Alex Peterson), Molly, Alex, Hillary and P.J.

On November 12, 1922, Alice was united in marriage with Fred G. Heinze at the
Behlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove. They were faithful companions until
Fred's death in September of this year. She was preceded in death by her parents,
a younger brother, Edward, and her husband, Fred. Surviving to mourn her death
are her twin brother, Alfred Aksamit of Lucas and numerous nieces, nephews and

Her parents were Alexander Altergott and his wife Katharina nee Reisig. At the
age of 19, she was united in holly matrimony with Johan Dietrich Ehrlich of
Tcherbagovkia, where they lived for a short time, and then made their home by
the mill on the Latrik until the year 1899 when they came to America arriving
at Wilson, Ks. After living there for some time, they lived at various places
and finally made their permanent home in Russell, Ks., where in 1926 her husband
left her a lonely widow and since that time she has made her ho me with her
youngest son, Karl and at times with her only daughter Mrs. George Borell of
Wilson, Ks. To this happy union six children were born, of which four are still
alive, namely Woldemar Ehrlich of Brighton, Colo., Alexander Ehrlich of Baker,
Montana, Karl Ehrlich of Russell, and Mrs. George Borell of Wilson, Ks.She leaves
to mourn her departure, three sons, one daughter, twenty-two grandchildren,
of which one grandchild preceded her in death, thirty-four great-grandchildren,
and three preceded her in death. Burial was in the Russell cemetery

She was the third of nine children born to William Henry Altig and Theresa Horobin
Altig. Mary (ALTIG) and James William (Bill) Croft were married Oct. 3, 1926,
in Morrill. They lived in Morrill where James William, Jr., Donald Eugene and
Ella Joyce were born. They moved to Freewater, Ore. in 1934 where Patsy Lee
was born. Mary and Bill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1976 and
Mary was proud when three of her children also celebrated theirs - Jim and Pat
(Ludden) Croft, Don and Dee (Langmacher) Croft, and Patsy and Jim Fabricius.
Bill died in 1982 and Mary lived alone until 2001 when she moved in with daughter
Joyce Jordeth. Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Pat Croft of Copeland,
Kan.; son, Don (Dee) of Newton, Kan.; daughters, Joyce Jordeth of Fort Collins
and Patsy (Jim) Fabricius of Zyphyrhills, Fla.; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren,
five step-great, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Those preceding
her in death were her parents; husband; eldest son, Jim; her brothers and sisters;
Floyd Altig, John Altig, Emma Giles, Katie Griswold, Esther Haflich, Lillian
Flock, Clarence Altig and an infant girl. Also deceased are her half brothers

Amen became deeply involved in helping preserve her heritage. Her parents, Henry
J. and Maria Barbara Wacker Amen, had been important members of the local German
from Russia community, opening a grocery store in the "Russian" Bottoms
neighborhood and helping sponsor newly arrived Germans from Russia. She helped
establish the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia in 1968. The
society later moved its headquarters to Lincoln and now resides near Amen's
family home, which she donated to serve as a museum for the society, at Sixth
and D streets.

Funston, KS, June 12, 1919. In Oct. of that year he was married to Mary EHRLICH,
also of the Marion community. To this union five children were born. His wife
died in 1931. The oldest son, Fred, was killed in Germany, during WW II in 1945.
He preferred to remain on the farm, where he continued to help his son Stanley.
His son, Fred, his mother and father, two brothers, Andrew and Henry, and one
sister, Daisy Powell preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing two
daughters, Mrs. Doris Ford, of Marion and Darlene Anderson of Honolulu, HI;

BUNKER HILL - Jacob Anschutz, 85, died July 1, 2002, at Russell Regional Hospital,
Russell. He was born June 16, 1917, at Neidermunscher, Russia, the son of Jacob
and Amelia Bostrom Anschutz. He came to the United States in 1923. He was a
U.S. Navy World War II veteran. On Nov. 15, 1939, he married Lorraine TRAPP
at Ellsworth. She survives. Other survivors include: a son, Gary, Gorham; two
daughters, Dianna Wise, Grangeville, Idaho, and Rebecca Keil, Russell; three
sisters, Helen Lloyd, Bastrop, Texas, Ella Mae Honeywell, Kearney, Neb., and
Beverly Mercer, Liberty Hill, Texas. Jacob came to the United States in 1923.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, three brothers, Karl, Christian and
Leo Anschutz Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church,
Russell.

Marie (Anschutz) Ehrlich; Galyardt
Mrs. Reinhardt Galyardt was born in Russia, January 6, 1862. The deceased emigrated
with her parents to America in 1878, and lived first in Ellsworth County from
where they moved to Russell County in 1879. She was united in marriage to Alexander
Ehrlich in 1883. To this union eight children were born. Mr. Ehrlich preceded
his wife in death, November 7, 1916. Mrs. Ehrlich entered a second marriage
with Reinhardt Galyardt in 1928. Those left to mourn her departure are her husband,
Reinhardt Galyardt, 6 sons, Carl, Emanuel, George and Dave of Russell, Ben of
Luray, and John of Topeka; 2 daughters, Mrs. Alex Wittman and Mrs. Henry H.
Bender of Russell. Twenty-eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Five brothers, Carl Anschutz of Russell, Dave of Wilson, Henry of Manger, Nicolas
of Tulia, Tex., and Alex of Wilson; and two sisters, Mrs. Christ Stoppel of
Dorrance and Mrs. Ed Morgenstern of Fort Collins, Colo. Interment took place
at the city cemetery.

fifth of twelve children. Thomas immigrated to Canada on June 20, 1949. Predeceased
by his beloved wife Maria in December of 2001, Thomas was the last surviving
sibling of his family and is now survived by his two daughters, Beata (Ron)
Leskun and Margareta (Ron) Wiebe; two granddaughters, Julie and Karen Leskun,
all of Regina; as well as several nieces and nephews and their families residing
in Germany. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.

Hope and Chad Appel, Annette and Chynelle, Trudy and Temple Appel. All of Herman
and Gertrude Appel’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were present
except Dr. Jodi Harney and Dennis and Heidi Harney.

officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Kathryn was born 17
May 1924, at Denver, Colorado, to Henry and Katherine (Brecht) Aschenbrenner.
She married H. K "Hank" REICHERTH 26 Dec 1943 at Scottsbluff. She
is survived by her son, Ronald H. Reichert and his wife Laurie of Denver, CO;
daughters, Kathleen Frick and her husband Tom, Jeannette F. Johnson of Scottsbluff;
grandchildren: Jason T. Frick and his wife Hannah; Brian T. Frick and his wife

TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Funeral services for Irvin E. Asmus, 72, of Torrington, Wyo.,
will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2002 at the First United Church of
Christ with Rev. Thomas Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View
Cemetery in Torrington, Wyo. Mr. Asmus died on Oct. 30 at his home in Torrington,
Wyo. He was born on Sept. 12, 1930 in Gering, the son of David and Mary (Stoll)
Asmus. On June 21, 1949 he married Mollie BUXBAUM in Sidney, Mont. He loved
music and he played several instruments, including the piano and accordion,
and he was the trombone player for the 'Polkateers' for many years. He is survived
by his wife Mollie, of Torrington, Wyo.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and
Julene Asmus of Lingle, Wyo.; a daughter, Kathy Lind of Morrill; four grandchildren,
Steven Lind and his wife Gemi, Jordan Asmus, Jackson Asmus, and Jamie Asmus;
and one great-grandson, Rowdy Lind; a brother, Rubin Asmus of Scottsbluff; four
sisters, Hilda Stricker of Torrington, Wyo., Esther Rexius and Viola Kramer,
both of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mary Fahlbusch of Scottsbluff. He was preceded in
