She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, and one infant daughter.

Daughter of Henry and Katherine Hafner Zeiler. A longtime area resident, she immigrated to the U.S. with her family in 1912. They moved to Alberta, Canada, in 1914, returning to the U.S. in 1920. On Sept. 27, 1925, she married Dave FUNK at Bazine. He died March 14, 1996. Survivors include: a son, Alvin, Phoenix, Ariz.; three sisters, Mary Radcliffe, Stoney Plain, Alberta, Canada, Frieda Hove, Gun, Alberta, Canada and Annie Pearson, Onoway, Alberta, Canada; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Elton and Melvin; a daughter, Laverne Smith; three brothers, Henry, John and Alex Zeiler; and three sisters, Lydia Thompson, Mini Klouse and Ester Hickie. Survivors include two brothers, Adam and Dave Zimmerman; two sisters, Julia Geisler and Martha Zimmerman; eight children, 15 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was baptized at the age of 14 in Argentina. She was married to Fred HEFLEY on May 3, 1907, at Durham. He died in July in 1937. The couple had eight children, five sons and three daughters: sons: Ted, Maynard, Harvey, Alvie and Reuben; daughters: Alma Hilsenbeck, Erlean Crooper, and Florence Ehrlich. Son of George and Lelia Pearl Hankins Zirkle. On January 31, 1935, at Buffalo, and Esther Nora MILLER of Gate were united in marriage. Together they brought four children into their home, Verdie Lu, George Reinhart, Joyce Louise and Neda Sue. When their daughter Verdie died in 1923, they took her three children and raised them as their own. Barney was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Glenn, George and Freddie's two daughters Verdie Lu and Neda Sue. Elmer and Emily Zorn, Hoisington, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 6 with a 10 a.m. Mass at St. John's Catholic Church followed by a family dinner and an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Hoisington. Zorn and the former Emily Podlena were married Oct. 7, 1952, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilson. He served in the Korean War and is retired from the Barton County Highway Department after 37 years of service. She is a homemaker. Hosts for the celebration will be their three sons and spouses, Dennis and Brenda Zorn, Denver, Ronald Zorn, Crystal Lake, Ill. and James and Donna Zorn, Great Bend. They have five grandchildren.
