He was preceded in death by his wife, March 30, 1999, a brother, Cleo, and two sisters, Isabel Sills and infant Wilmetta. Burial in the Oakley Cemetery.

Daughter of John Uhrich and wife Mary Catherine, nee Eichman. In 1864 she was married to Peter EICHMAN. This union was blessed with two sons and four daughters, two of the daughters died in infancy. On December 10, 1894, Mr. Eichman died and five years later Mrs. Eichman came to America accompanied by one son and one daughter. Mrs. Eichman made her home with her son-in-law, Fred Uhrich, until September 26, 1899, when was was married to John Fred FOSE. Mr. Fose died in 1905. She leaves her two sons, Jacob and George Eichman of Russell; two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Uhrich, of Oakley, and Elizabeth of Russell.

Survivors include seven sons, Richard and Mark, both of Hays, Terence, Delphos, Gary, Ada, Gregory, Grainfield, and Lyle and Kyle, both of Grinnell; six daughters, Charlene Koster, Minneapolis, and Izene Hynes, Eileen Link, Kathleen Braun, Norene Unrein and Coleen Werth, all of Hays; two brothers, Joe Uhrich, Arizona, and Cletus Uhrich, Great Bend; three sisters, Juliana Haffner, Itha Scheck and Eugenia Uhrich, all of Hays; 16 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Karl married Ruby GRIFF in 1948. Karl and Ruby had two sons, Victor (born in 1953) and Vernon (born in 1957). They later separated. Karl is survived by two brothers, Richard of Puyallup, Wash., and Albert of Chinook; and one sister, Ruth Watters of Helena. He is also survived by two sons, Victor (Laura Lee) of the family ranch and Vern (Kay) of Biddle. The love of his life were his grandchildren: Amy (Tom) Minow of Broadus, Dr. Jennifer (Rob) Mattingley of La Crosse, Wis., Lieutenant Doug (Laura) Ullrich of Tucson, Ariz., Adam and Jason Ullrich of Biddle and five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Leah and Hudson Mattingley, and Miranda and Kyle Minow. He is also survived by over 65 nieces and nephews. Survivors include: four daughters, DeaAnne Koehn and Betty Jo Koehn, both of Barnett, Mo., Charlotte Johnson, Campbellsburg, Ind., and Floretta Shetler, Clarksdale, Miss.; two brothers, Harry, Moundridge, and Jay, Valley Center; two sisters, Virginia Mastre, Galva, and Mary Ann Unruh, Scott City; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wolf was born in South Russia to M/M Fredrick UNTERSEHER on 24 Oct 1886. She came to the USA in 1902 with her parents. She married John WOLF at Hazen on 17 Dec 1902. He died in Feb 1968.   Mrs. Wolf leaves two sons, Herman, Milwaukee, Wis and Samuel, Minot; four daughter, Mrs. Henry (Alvina) Fischer, Hector, Minn; Mrs. Fred (Marsha) Hensel, Ipswich, SD; Mrs. Gotthilf (Ann) Keller, Halliday; and Mrs. Ralph (Palmina) Dahlen, Des Plaines, Ill; 22 gchildren and 34ggchildren. She also leaves a brother, Gottlob Unterseher,  and three sisters, Mrs. Lena HEINE, Beulah; Mrs. Katie MARON, Hazen and Mrs. Barara BENTZ, Dunn Center. Burial will be made at the Halliday Cemetery.

"Bill" PALMER at Wichita. He died in 1987. Survivors include: a stepson, Brian Armantrout, Carlisle, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Betty Sanders, Bloomington, Minn.; a brother, Henry Uppendahl, Pueblo, Colo.; a sister, Selma Schmalzried, Dighton, and 12 step-grandchildren.
