Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.  Shirley was  born July 2, 1924, in Snyder, Neb. to Herman H. and Josephine M. (Hrdlicka) Seebeck.   She married ALEX DIETRICH, JR. Dec. 17, 1944, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff.  After moving to Alliance in 944, Shirley worked at the Alliance Theatre, the A.S.C.S. Office, where she worked for over 25 years, and also the Panhandle Vision Clinic.  She was a member of Immnauel Lutheran Church where she served on both the Collection Committee and the Adult Bible Class Coffee Committee.    Survivors include her sons, Dr. Robert C. Dietrich and Kenton L. Dietrich, both of Alliance; and several nieces and nephews.  Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two sisters, two brother-in-laws, and a nephew.

She survives. HUTCHINSON - Lavetta McAdams, 84, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Thorne Care Center.  She was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Kansas City, the daughter of George and Mary Barnett Shultz.    On July 4, 1942, she married WILLIAM H. "BILL" McADAMS. He died March 18, 1965.  She is survived by: a son and his wife, Jim and Beverly McAdams, Goddard; sister-in-law, Martha McAdams Teter, Derby; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Wisbey, a granddaughter and a great-great-grandson.

Chester  Sick, 61, rural Elgin, died in Elgin Sunday afternoon, June 2, 1968.  Born March 18, 1907, in Bennington, Nebr.   Married MARTHA BAY  in 1942.  He was a trustee and deacon of Emmanuel Church of Elgin.  In addition to his widow Mr. Sick leaves two sons, Warren, Topeka, Kan., and Wesley, living at home, and one daughter, Joleen, also at home.  He also leaves five sisters, Mrs. John Schulz, Linton; Mrs. Fred Schulz, Elgin; and Mrs. Harry DelaBarre, Mrs. Theo Rivinius and Mrs. Jake Bay, all of Bismarck.  He leaves one brother, Clarence, Chicago.

PRETTY PRAIRIE -  On  April 27 (2010) Cecil  and Mary Siebert were headed to have coffee with family when they were critically injured in a car accident. Cecil was born Nov. 26, 1922, in the Pretty Prairie farmhouse where he lived until his death.  Mary was born July 15, 1927, in Hutchinson.  The couple married March 6, 1949. Two sons, Ray and Larry, Pretty Prairie; a daughter, Sandy Degi, Fort Collins, Colo.; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter survive them. Last year they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.   Now their family finds solace in the thought that the couple is still together.  (Note:  More to the story.)

PRETTY PRAIRIE - Cecil R. Siebert, 87, died April 30, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita, and Mary K. Siebert, 82, died May 3, 2010, at St. Francis Hospital, Wichita.

Cecil was born Nov. 26, 1922, in Pretty Prairie, the son of Edward Valentine and Ethel Bramwell Siebert.

Mary was born July 15, 1927, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Winfred and Ada Jones Ford.  On March 6, 1949, CECIL R. SIEBERT married MARY K. FORD in Hutchinson.   Their survivors include: sons, Ray and wife Jane Siebert, Larry and wife Debbie Siebert, all of Pretty Prairie; daughter, Sandy Degi and husband, Greg, Ft. Collins, Colo.; six grandchildren, Casana Brunton and husband Jason, Andrew Siebert and wife Amy, Leslie Siebert and husband Brandon Gonzalez, Clark Siebert, Kevin Degi and wife Kristyn, and Karen Fang and husband Nick; and a great-granddaughter, Camryn Siebert. Cecil is survived by a sister, Virginia McGovern and Mary's sister, Betty Jean Cook, both of Hutchinson. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters.
