Rose Coakley, 89,  formerly of Lady Lake, Fla., passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Heritage Estates in Gering.  Born on July 10, 1920, to David and Catherine Huck Langhofer in Bayard.  Married DANIEL COAKLEY, on Sept. 17, 1950.   Survivors include her sister, Caroline and husband Carl Nuss of Bayard; as well as several nieces and nephews, Jennifer Nichols, Walter Nuss, Alex Nuss, Richard and Ronald Langhofer, Ralph Langhofer, Jack Frick, Kathy Ackers, Janet Schellenberger and Richard and Kevin Roth.   Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Walter Langhofer; half brothers, Alex and David Langhofer, Sam Frick and half sister, Hermina Frick; sisters-in-law, Marie and Minnie Langhofer, and Esther Frick; and nephew, Bob Langhofer.

LaVern Liebelt, 85, Harvey, N.D., died Sept. 2  (2010).  Born Feb. 24, 1925, on a family farm southwest of Harvey, to Gust and Josephine (Winter) Liebelt.   Married EUNICE SEIBEL on May 24, 1946.   LaVern and Eunice had four children: Paulette, LaMont, Randy, and Londa. Eunice died June 4, 1971. LaVern married ESTHER THORPE on Jan. 16, 1972.   Esther died March 24, 2003. He then married RUBY LANG on Oct. 26, 2003.   Ruby died Nov. 10, 2005. His parents; a sister, Bernice Hovland; and a grandson, Brad Bokovoy, also preceded him. LaVern is survived by two daughters, Paulette Freeman of Omaha, Neb., and Londa Bentz of Bismarck, N.D.; two sons, Randy of Satanta and LaMont of International Falls, Minn.; a sister, Elaine Leppke of Hillsboro; a brother, Merle of Modesto, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Emma Loewen Schroeder died January 8, 2010, at  Inman, Kansas.  Born April 25, 1920, Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada, the fourth daughter of seven children of Maria Ratzlaff and Isaac T. Loewen.  She became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1962.   On September 4, 1964, she married DAVID J. SCHROEDER in Steinbach.
