Emilie Meisner, 99, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, July 11, 2010,  in Scottsbluff.    Born May 6, 1911, on a ship coming from Germany to the United States, to George and Dorothy Haun.   Married HERMAN MEISNER March 15, 1933.   Survivors include her son, Randy (Lana) Meisner of Studio City, Calif.; son-in-law, Art Benzel of Gering; grandchildren, Jana (Steve) Richter of Gering, Dana (Lana) Meisner of Torrington, Wyo., Heather Leigh of Scottsbluff, and Eric (Stacey) Meisner of Scottsbluff; six great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and sister, Lydia Ohlund of Wisconsin.  Preceding Emilie in death were her parents, her husband, daughter Carol Benzel, and sisters, Elizabeth, Mollie, and Alice.

Shirley (Haverick) Martin, 73, of Gering, passed away Friday, July 30, 2010.  Born April 23, 1937, in Scottsbluff, to John and Esther (Speacht) Haverick.  Married DON MARTIN on June 6, 1954. Survivors include her husband, Don; sons, Robert (Sue) Martin of Mitchell, David (Jerlyn) Martin of North Platte and Steve (Desira) Martin of Scottsbluff; daughters Ruth Roth of Gering and Linda (Stace) Swartzkopf of Scottsbluff; sister, Pat (Eldon) Valetski of Gering; grandchildren, Eric Roth, Tonia Martin, Vaughn Martin, Jamie Subjeck, Nick Martin and Grant Martin; step-grandchildren, Christopher Porter and Hailey Himes; and three great-grandchildren.   Preceded in death by her parents, John and Esther Haverick; and in-laws, David and Katherine Martin.
