MOUNDRIDGE - Della Goering Krehbiel, 92, died Aug. 1, 2010, at  Moundridge.  Born Aug. 18, 1917, in Pretty Prairie to Peter P. and Lizzie (Graber) Goering.   On Jan. 13, 1935, she married ED KREHBIEL. Survivors include: two sons, Maynard (Marlene) Krehbiel, McPherson, and Ron (Nancy) Krehbiel, Burrton; grandchildren, Gail (Ardy) Graber, Doug (Jude) Krehbiel, Wes (Sheryl) Krehbiel, Annette Krehbiel, Jenny (Robert) Schrag, Clinton (Shelly) Krehbiel, Jamie (Russ) Kaufmann, Damon (Karen) Krehbiel, Kelly (Mike) Hayes and Kori (Dennis) Parlett; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Preceded in death by her husband, Ed, in 2004, her son Robert in 1999, brothers David, Will, Tobe, Victor, Harry and Bennie; and sisters Martha Krehbiel, Bess Strausz and Viola Voran.

MOUNDRIDGE - Dr. Donald D. Goering, 79, died August 18, 2010, at Moundridge, Kansas.   Born Feb. 13, 1931, in McPherson, Kansas to Jonathan J. and Katherina Zerger Goering. He was a family physician serving the communities of Tribune, Salina and Coldwater. On December 28, 1955, he married LOUA MAE RIGG. She died July 18, 1975. He married MSRY CROSS on July 30, 1994. She survives. Other survivors include; daughter, Donna Goering, Chicago, and Debbie (Chris) Turner. Lawrence; stepson Jonathan Cross (Sarah Sutherland) Saskatchewan, Canada; brothers, Harvey Goering, Gainesville, Florida, Emil Goering, Topeka, Marlo Goering, Wichita, and Clyde (Felice) Goering, Moundridge; sister Marjorie (Marvin) Stucky, Moundridge; three grandchildren.

GALVA - Melvern A. "Mel" Goering, 80, was born in rural Montezuma, Kansas, on January 12, 1930, and passed away on April 26, 2010. Married ERMA BULLER in 1954. They spent 55 wonderful years together.

Survived by his wife, Erma, of the home in rural Galva, Kansas; by his son, Dick J. Goering, his wife Hope and their children, Melanie and Joe, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; by his son, Jim H. Goering, his wife Ruthie and their sons John and Jeremy of Valley Center, Kansas; by his son-in-law, Bryan Otte (who was married to Mel and Erma's daughter, Cindy Lou Otte, who passed away in October 2009) and their daughter Emily of Valley Center, Kansas; by his brothers, Virgil Goering of Galva, Kansas, Marvin Goering of McPherson, Kansas, and Kenneth Goering of Galva, Kansas; by extended family and many friends.  Preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Lou Otte; by his parents, Joe J.F. and Emma Schrag Goering; his brothers, Merlin and Duane Goering; his sister, Margaret Schrag; and his brother-in-law, Walter Schrag.

On Sept. 30, 1936, she married HERBERT SCHROEDER. He preceded her in death in 1994.   Preceded in death by a son, Herb Schroeder Jr.; and a daughter, Judy Schroeder Tomlonson. They had six children and lived most of their married life in Great Bend, Kansas. She died October 8, 1980.  On November 19, 1994, Eddie married JEWELL WOOD.  preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; his wife, Millie; and one daughter, Norma Bogart, who died February 10, 2010. Florine Virginia Starkell, 78, of Scottsbluff, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010.    Born Sept. 24, 1931, at Scottsbluff to Conrad H. and Marie (Fegler) Green.   Married LeROY STARKELL April 26, 1953.  Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Danny Staman of Scottsbluff, Terryl and Charles Pratt of Rapid City, S.D., and Roxanne and Steve Harrison of Gillette, Wyo.; granddaughter, Jessica Harrison of Rapid City, S.D.; step-grandsons, Mark Staman of Scottsbluff, Corey Staman of Chandler, Ariz., Robert Pratt of Hixson, Tenn., and Mark Pratt of North Platte; brother, Gary L. Green of Torrington, Wyo., and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and special friends.   Preceding her in death were her parents, grandson Cody Harrison, brother Harvey Green, and husband, LeRoy Starkell.

TORRINGTON, Wyo. - Melvin Lee Green, 73, passed away in Scottsbluff on Monday May 10, 2010,.  Born to James and Elizabeth (Williamson) Green on April 23, 1937.   Married KAREN SMITH on January 30, 1959.   Survivors include daughters, Shelia (Ed) Hawley of Torrington, Vikki (Dale) Carpenter of Wright, Wyo., and Rhonda (Edwin) Hewett of Scottsbluff; grandchildren, Daniel Green, Sarah, Jennifer, and Sean Hawley, and Kayleigh and Thomas Hewett; great-granddaughters, Anastasia and Addelaide; brother, Johnny Green of Galeton, Colo.; sisters, Yvonne Hopp of Torrington and Linda Harshberger of Glenwood Springs, Colo., thirty-two nieces and nephews and one special niece Joyce Eshom.   Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Karin Green, a brother, two sisters, and nephew Bud Eshom.

Patty Ann (Green) Wendt, 56, died July 18, 2010 at her home.  Born Aug. 9, 1953, in Scottsbluff to Earl and Pauline (Kramer) Green. Married DONN MATTOCK in 1974 and to this union two children were born, Seth and Sarah. Patty later married RICHARD WENDT.  Survivors include her son, Seth Mattock and his children Jeremy and Nathan all of Denver and daughter Sarah (Sean) Dunn and their children Juliana, Christian and Theanna of Oakdale; brothers, Delbert (Arlene) Green of Gering and Calvin (Barbara) Green of Glendale, Ariz.; sisters, Lorraine Neifert of Weiser, Idaho and Melba McNaught of Ontario, Ore.; sister-in-law, Linda Green of Terrytown and special friend JR Rohde of Brule; and numerous nephews and nieces as well as her church family and friends.   Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Garland and Stephen Green; Royal Morehouse, sister Carol Schuck and nephew Scott Green.

He was fourth in a sibling strip of five.  Married VIRGINIA ANN MINNIG.   Richard leaves a wife of sixty-one years, Virginia of Torrington; daughters, Kathleen Gardner of Garland, Texas and Jeannine Hill of Omaha; brother, Ralph J. Green of Lincoln; sisters, Verna (Dean) Lahm of Basset, Neb. and Delores Cogbill of Tampa, Fla.; sisters-in-law, Beulah McKenney of Aurora and Connie Burger of Glendale, Ariz.; four nephews; and nine nieces.   Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Christina Green; brother, Edward Green; grandparents, Martin and Elizabeth Green and Peter and Mary Kolb; sisters-in-law, Edith Green and Iola Minnig; brothers-in-law, Gordon Minnig, James Cogbill, Francis McKenney and Edward Yakel; and nephews, Paul Minnig and Randal Cogbill.

Ida (Grommet) Cassel Reizenstein, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009,  in Gering.   Born June 25, 1922, in Shawnee, Wyo. to Henry J. and Julia (Nagelschneider) Grommet.    Married FORD N. CASSEL in 1939. They were later divorced. She later married ADAM REIZENSTEIN.   Survivors include her son, Roy and his wife MaDonna Cassel of Kearney; daughters, Judy and her husband Bob Allbaugh of Gering, Sandra and her husband Trent Riley of Georgetown, Texas, Diane Siegfried of Gering and Sharon and her husband Gaylen Fix of Mitchell; step daughter, Bonnie and her husband Don Stites of Harrah, Okla. Also surviving her are 16 grandchildren, a step grandchild, 34 great-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.   Her parents; her husband, Adam; her son, Roger Stafford; granddaughter, Tawni Rose Riley; brothers, Fred, Oliver (Tiny), and Edward Grommet and sisters, Blanche Stafford and Alice Grommet preceded Ida in death.

William Groskopf, 89, of Gering, passed away November 18, 2010.  Born March 7, 1921, in Bayard to George and Marie Katherine (Uhrich) Groskopf.   Married KATHRYN (HENKEL) G ROSKOPF March 7, 1948,.  Survived by his wife Kathryn of Gering; sons William Max (Diane) Groskopf of Littleton, Colo. and Richard John (Cindy) Groskopf of Gering. He is also survived by grandchildren Suzanne (Erik) Williamson; Christopher Groskopf; Leann (Mike) Chalupa; Jim Groskopf; Julie (Bryan) Hazzard and Jordan Groskopf; and great-grandchildren Rory and Josh Hazzard and Kaitlyn Williamson.   His parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Leontine Anna “Peggy” Chrispens, 94,  passed away Monday morning, January 22, 2007.  Born September 27th 1912, in Hosmer, South Dakota to Gottlieb and Susanna (Weisz) Grosz.   On June 6, 1936 Peggy and ALEXANDER CHRISPENS were united in marriage.  Alex preceded her in death on September 23, 1997.   Survived by two sisters, Milda Russell and Hildegard (Lyle) Griffith, both of Manson, WA; one brother, Gordon (Anita) Grosz of Fond du Lac; sisters-in-law, Char Gross of Plymouth, and Ann Gross of Fond du Lac; and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, Alex, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Philipina, Della, Gerda, Ella, Irma, and Meta; and four brothers, Eugene, Alfred, Richard, and Edwin.
