Survived by his brothers, Luther Yakel of Wichita, Herbert Yakel of Springfield, Ohio; sister Viola Wiebe of Canon City, Co.; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruth Yakel, Joyce Yakel, Mary Catherine Armstrong, Bernice Oswalk, and Dorothy Marasco.

Irene (Yakel) Loose, 86, died on March 31, 2009. Married ALBERT LOOSE. Survived by sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Joan Loose of Chandler Ariz., and Steve and Mary Loose of Scotts-bluff; daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Dick Rubottom of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Susan and Austin Maddox of Scottsbluff; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Katherine Welsch, Caroline Rexus, Rose Bolzer, Florence Rau, Alvina Kufeldt, Norma Green, and brother Dick Yakel.

Katherine Welsch, 96, died Saturday, June 6, 2009. Born Aug. 11, 1912 in Old Bolzer, Russia to Jacob and Anna M. (Kaiser) Yakel. Came to the United States from Winnipeg, Canada, Nov. 24, 1916 on the Canadian Pacific Railway. Married CHRIST WELSCH, JR. Christ preceded her in death on Jan. 13, 1979. Survived by her daughter, Nancy (Norman) Gross, Mitchell; grand-daughter, Callie Gross, Gering; great grandchildren, Ethan and Elizabeth Blanchard and Nathan, Bridgette and Bethany Gross; great-great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Bailey; sisters; Florence Rau, Alvina Kufeldt and Caroline Rexus all of Scottsbluff, Norma Green, Gering, and Rose Bolzer, Mitchell and Brother: Dick Yakel of Scottsbluff. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters: Nettie Grasmick, Katherine Zier, Betty Eby, and Irene Loose, brothers: Jake Yakel, Ed Kling, John Dilk and grandson, Curtis Gross.

Survived by his wife, three sons, Raymond, Mandan; and Milleven and Henry, Jr., at home; three daughters, Mrs. John Berger, Mandan; and Luella and Paulet at home; three grandchildren; three brothers, George, Peter and Ralph, all of Mandan; and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Gustin, Flasher, and Mrs. Alvin Bouer and Mrs. Matt Barth, both of Mandan. His parents, a daughter, a sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
