HOISINGTON - Edward Jerome Schwartz, 21, died Nov. 28, 1950. Born July 8, 1929, the son of William H. and Louisa Victoria "Prosser" Schwartz. Eddie's Unit was heavily engaged by the Chinese in the Battle of the Ch'ong'chon River, and on Nov. 28, 1950, Eddie was killed in action. 2nd Lieutenant Edward J. Schwartz's remains were recovered in 2000. His brother Eugene Schwartz, Topeka, survives him. He was followed in death by his parents, his brothers, Elmer, Ray and Don, and two sisters, Helen Sullentrop and Elizabeth Schwartz.

Survived by her parents of Lansing, Kansas; a brother, of the home, Cole Michael; grandparents, John and Becky Eck of Topeka, Kansas, and Rusty and Jo Seibel of Hutchinson, Kansas; great-grandparents, Robert and Beverly Ostrander of Topeka, Kansas, and Merci Seibel of Hutchinson, Kansas; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by great-grandparents, Gene Seibel, Matthew and Matilda Eck, and Eli and Adzianna Pinney.

PEABODY — Wallace C. “Vic” Seibel left this life Monday (June 15, 2009) at the age of 87. Born on Dec. 2, 1921, in rural Marion County. Married BETTY NEWTON. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty; five children, Judy Eskridge, Patricia Hall and husband, Gary, David Seibel and wife, Debra, Richard Seibel and wife, Sharla, and Deb Brewer and husband, Bruce; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grand-children. His 27th great-grandchild is expected in July. Preceded in death by his parents, David and Bertha Seibel, and brothers, LeRoy and Vernon.

Survivors include one sister, Rosemary George of Campbell, Calif.; one brother, Kenneth Seibert of Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Linda Knabe and husband Adolph of Midland, Texas, Tammy Fredman and husband Allen of Amarillo, Texas, and Kelly Macias and husband Refugio of Midland; two sons, Stanley Seibert and wife Debbie of Quincy, Ill., and Todd Seibert and wife Michelle of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife and good friend, Wanda Watson, his brother, Roy Allen Seibert, and his sister, Twilla James

She came in 1900. Married JOHN BOESFLUG. He preceded her in death in 1952. Six sons and 5 daughters were born to them. They are Frank, New Leipzig; Nick, New England; Joe, New England; Mike, New England; Valentine, Douglas WY; Mrs. Aloyious Fitterer, New England; Mrs. Mike Klemmer, Bismarck; Mrs. John Elis, New England; Mrs. Joe Heick, New England; and Mrs. Geoerge Wanner, Mott. Other survivors besides the sons and daughters are 48 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. A son, John, died in 1936.
