NUSZ, MARGARET CAROLINE (OBERST) 1920-1978 - OKEENE - Margaret (Oberst) Nusz, 58, died Saturday (August 5, 1978) in an Enid hospital. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.W. (Arlene) Hess, Enid, and Mrs. Don (Priscilla) Warner, Mohave, Ariz.; two sons, Robert and Gregory, both of Enid; two brothers, Henry Oberst, Hennessey and Fabian Oberst, Fort Scott, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Murrel (Cecilia) Krase, Okeene, and five grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE - NUSZ, MARGARET CAROLINE (OBERST) 1920-1978

Services for Margaret Nusz, 58, of Enid were held Wednesday, August 9, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Okeene. Father Joseph Kolb officiated. Bearers were LeRoy Oberst, Glenn Oberst, Don Records, Kim Krause, Dennis Biggs and Ronnie Miller. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Nusz died August 5, 1978 at Enid. She was born June 1, 1920 at Hitchcock, daughter of Joseph and Mary Heckman Oberst. Survivors include two daughters and two sons, Priscill, Mrs. Don Warner, Mohave Valley, Arizona; Arlene, Mrs. J.W. Hess, Robert Nusz and Gregory Nusz, all of Enid; two brothers, Henry Oberst, Hennessey; Fabian Oberst, Fort Scott, Kansas; one sister, Cecilia, Mrs. Murrel Krause, Okeene, and five grandchildren. Note: Nusz ancestral village is Dobrinka, Russia.

Born July 2, 1918 in Susank, the daughter of Edward & Ida (Popp) Ochs. Married Henry LITZENBERGER. He died Feb. 3, 1988. She is survived by a son, Verle, Garden City; two daughters Evelyn Strickland, Moore, OK, and Carol Whitehurst, Garden City; three brothers Walter, Leo, and Leroy; five sisters Lenora Wartman, Edna Crase, Esther Lewis, Wilma Guy, and Barbara Petr; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her sister, Louise Johnson, of Marquette; two sons, James of Kansas City and Thomas of Hoisington; a daughter, Ann of Phoenix and grandchildren James Jr. of St. Paul, Kan., Jennifer of Kansas City, Stephanie of Gardner, and John Epley and Ruthie Smith of Phoenix. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley, and four brothers, Martin, Vernon, Nathan and Tillman. Private graveside services will be held in Hoisington .

She is survived by: two brothers, Joseph and Lawrence; and two sisters, Anna Wright and Martha Rohlman.

Born Dec. 7, 1916, in Willowdale as Mary Anna Oeding, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Heckenkamp Oeding. She celebrated 70 years of religious profession in 2004. Sister Hermina is survived by her Dominican Sisters’ Community; and two brothers and two sisters, Joseph of Kingman, Lawrence of Spivey, Anna Wright of Council Grove and Martha Rohlman of Kingman.

Married Lee Edward DICKS on February 26, 1939, in Herington; he preceded her in death on September 9, 1984. Also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son Gary Dicks (wife-Martha) of Longmont; a sister Wilma Granzow of Mesa, Arizona; a step-brother Dean Underhill of Zapata, Texas; and a sister-in-law Bonnie Johnson of Herington. She is survived by two (2) grandchildren Brent Dicks (wife-Denise) of Loveland, and Laura Mountfort of Loveland; and two (2) great-grandchildren (Marissa & Julia).

Early in the morning Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, James Russell Osman passed away . Born March 12, 1936, to Pearl (Keller) and LeRoy Osman in Minot, N.D. Married Merry Jane LUBENOW in Ceylon, Minn. He was an Emeritus member of the American Society of Photogrammetry, maintaining contact with many friends and professionals in his field. Jim is survived by son Timothy Osman; daughters Teresa Kennedy and fiancé Bill Baldi, Trina (Bill) White, all of Billings; son Thomas (Scarlette) Osman of Lincoln, Calif.; grandchildren Will and Jileasa White, Rebekah and Benjamin Kennedy, and Angela and Alexander Osman; brother Richard (Ila) Osman of Battle Lake, Minn.; sister Donna (Ron) Hensen of Glenburn, N.D.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families who loved him very much. Dad is also survived by former wife Merry Osman (Dr. Harlan Krein), and former son-in-law Mark Kennedy.

He attended Spring Valley Grade School and graduated Okeene High School in 1945. Married Lena NUSZ. Surviving are his wife, Lena of the home; one son, Mark Osmus of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Dorothy Laubach of Okeene; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
