Martha Margaret Moeller, 91, of Laramie died July 19 (2008) at the Laramie Care Center.
She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Girard, Kan., and was a resident of Cheyenne for many years.
Mrs. Moeller is survived by a son, Edward "Mike" Moeller of Laramie, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. MOELLER and her parents, Ray and Erma Hardin.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.

He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1977. She was the last to survive of her 12 brothers and sisters. Alma and Ed had two children, Marilyn Joyce Schrag and Marjorie Jane Hamm; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson, Stanley Hamm, and son-in-law, Loren Hamm. . There will be a burial service and meal at 11 a.m. Monday at the EMB Church in Meade, where Ed is buried.

Sandra J. Milburn/The Hutchinson News) A helicopter airlifts a patient from the scene of a semitrailer and car accident at K-61 and Partridge Road on Wednesday morning. A Wichita woman was flown to a Wichita hospital Wednesday morning after slamming into a semitrailer. Louise Herrman Sr., 77, was heading north on Partridge Road at about 9:40 a.m. when she failed to stop at a stop sign, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Her 1997 Chevrolet Lumina ran into the semi, driven by Terry Chambers, 54, which was going northeast on K-61. Chambers and his passenger Debbie Burns, 54, of Topeka were not injured.

Her husband Perry died in 1971. She is survived by her son, Richard (Carol) and daughter Mary (Stephen) Lewis; two grandchildren, John and Paige Houdyshell. Her husband, Perry, and her sister, Alma Butler, preceded her in death. Funeral service was Monday, Oct. 13, at the First Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth. Burial was in the Ellsworth Cemetery with Order of the Easter Star services by Ellsworth Chapter 44.

Mrs. Amalia Walter, 91 years old, died at her home near Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Born in Austria, Germany. Married John PELZL in 1872. Mr. Pelzl died August 20, 1889. She married August WALTER in 1892. Mr. Walter died July 23, 1941. She is survived by 2 living sons, Leo of Catherine [Ellis Co., Kansas] and William of Lawrence [Kansas].
From the Barber County Index - Amalia Hornisher was born in Austria, Germany, November 15, 1849, and departed this life July 23, 1941, at the age of 91 years 8 months and 8 days. She was married to John PELZL in 1871 at Luzsdorf, Austria, Germany. To this union was born 6 children, five boys and 1 girl. Mr. Pelzl, three sons Alfred, Emil and Henry, and one daughter Marie, preceeded her in death. Bill of Lawrence, Kansas and Leo of Hays survive. In 1878 the family came from Austria, Germany and settled near Catherine, Kansas, where 4 of the children were born.

Survivors include his mother, Vina Huffman Briggs of Amarillo, Texas; daughter, Sherri Goodman, son, Brent Huffman, both of Spokane, Wash.; brother, Michael Huffman of Ariz.; two sisters, Karen Statser of San Clemente, Calif., and Phyllis Parker of Amarillo, Texas; 3 grandchildren, and his companion Marian Lanik and her 3 daughters, all of Thermopolis.
